Information for Tournaments

I'm a tournament director. How do I gain access to search the average database?
Once you have an IGBO Account, please select the Help option and choose I need help with: Obtaining tournament level access. If you have additional members of your committee who require access to the database, please include their IGBO Account email addresses in the Additional Notes section.
What is required to be in my submission?
We require a file in CSV (comma separated variable) format which you can easily obtain using any spreadsheet program. The CSV file should contain participant identifying data along with scoring information from the tournament. We provide a template you can use to ensure you have all the required information for each bowler. In addition, we require the name of your tournament, the city and state where it was held, the tournament contact's name, email address and telephone number (optional). This can be either the statistician or the tournament director depending on who would prefer to receive communications regarding the tournament.
If I use IGBO-TS, can I use the TAD export feature?
Yes. The TAD export in IGBO-TS will export all of the bowler information you need to provide. Beyond that, we require the name of your tournament, the city and state where it was held, the tournament contact's name, email address and telephone number (optional). This can be either the statistician or the tournament director depending on who would prefer to receive communications regarding the tournament. You can add this information to the top of your CSV file as shown in the template.
What happened to the old IGBO ID?
We no longer use the old IGBO ID for the TAD. Instead, we use a bowler's sanction number (e.g. USBC, CTF). If the bowler is not a member of a sanctioning organization, we will create a random sanction ID of the format IGBO-xxxxxxxxxx, where the x's represent a varying number of randomly assigned numerals.
Why can't emails be duplicated?
We use your email address to authenticate you in order to access the TAD. Because of this, the value must be unique. If a bowler's scores are submitted without an email address or a shared address, one will be created for them, however, since it will be a non-functional email address, it will not allow them access to the database.
What are the OrgNumber and IAEGame fields?
Those fields are named as such because they are holdovers from the IGBO Tournament Software that many tournaments still use. OrgNumber is the bowler's sanction number, and, yes, the dash is important if it's a USBC number you are using! IAEGame is the number of games bowled during the handicap tournament. This does not include any optional event games or scratch masters games.
How do I submit?
Please make certain you are using either the file exported from IGBO-TS or following the Official IGBO TAD Template, both of which should be CSV (comma separated variable) files. In order to speed the inclusion of your tournament in the database, please make sure that you all information is accurate and complete. Once you are ready to submit, just drag your CSV file into the box below.
